These air fryer chicken wings come out shatteringly crispy without a drop of oil for frying. The secret is patting them completely dry and a light dusting of baking powder, which crisps the skin beautifully. Perfect for game day, parties, or an easy weeknight dinner.

Instructions
- 1
Pat the wings very dry with paper towels — this is the key to crispy skin.
- 2
In a large bowl, toss the wings with baking powder, salt, garlic powder, paprika, and pepper until evenly coated.
- 3
Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C). Arrange wings in a single layer, skin side down, without crowding (work in batches if needed).
- 4
Air fry for 12 minutes, then flip the wings and cook for another 10–13 minutes at 400°F (204°C) until deep golden and crispy.
- 5
Check that the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Toss with sauce if using, and serve immediately.
Notes & Tips
For the crispiest results, don't skip drying the wings and avoid overcrowding the basket. Aluminum-free baking powder (not baking soda) is essential — baking soda will taste bitter.
