Air fryer burgers are a revelation when the weather (or your schedule) won't cooperate with the grill. The circulating heat sears the outside while the inside stays juicy, with no flare-ups and no greasy stovetop. A simple seasoning and a thumbprint dimple are all it takes for diner-style burgers any night of the week.

Instructions

  1. 1

Gently mix the beef with salt, garlic powder, pepper, and Worcestershire — don't overwork it.

  2. 2

Form 4 patties slightly wider than your buns and press a shallow dimple in the center of each so they cook flat.

  3. 3

Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Place the patties in a single layer.

  4. 4

Air fry for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway, to your preferred doneness (160°F / 71°C for well-done).

  5. 5

Add cheese in the last minute to melt, toast the buns for 1–2 minutes, then build your burgers.

Notes & Tips

The dimple keeps patties from puffing into domes. For food safety, ground beef should reach 160°F (71°C). Cook in batches if your basket is small so they sear instead of steam.
