Instructions
- 1
Place the eggs directly on the air fryer basket in a single layer — no water, no oil.
- 2
Air fry at 270°F (132°C) for 15–17 minutes (about 16 minutes for firm hard-boiled yolks).
- 3
While they cook, fill a bowl with ice and cold water.
- 4
Transfer the eggs straight into the ice bath and let them sit for at least 5 minutes — this stops cooking and makes peeling easy.
- 5
Peel and use right away, or refrigerate (peeled or unpeeled) for up to a week.
Notes & Tips
Air fryers vary, so test one egg first: 13–14 minutes gives a slightly jammy yolk, 16–17 a fully set one. The ice bath is the real secret to clean, easy peeling. You may see light brown spots on the shell — totally normal and harmless.
