Craving fresh cookies but don't want to heat the whole oven for a couple? The air fryer bakes a small batch of chocolate chip cookies in minutes — crisp at the edges, soft and gooey in the middle. It's the perfect late-night treat or a quick bake with the kids.

Cream the softened butter with both sugars until light and fluffy, then beat in the egg and vanilla.

Stir in the flour, baking soda, and salt until just combined, then fold in the chocolate chips.

Line the air fryer basket with parchment. Scoop heaping tablespoons of dough, spacing them 2 inches apart (bake in batches).

Preheat the air fryer to 320°F (160°C). Air fry for 7–9 minutes until the edges are golden but the centers still look soft.

Let the cookies cool in the basket for 5 minutes to finish setting — they firm up as they cool.
Notes & Tips
Air fryers run hot and fast, so start checking at 7 minutes — the cookies keep cooking on the residual heat. Chill the dough 15 minutes if it feels too soft to scoop.
